Collision #1

written by: Kristen Granata

Genre: Romance

Goodreads: 4.1

I give it 4 solid stars

TW: suicide, alcohol use

I won the second book in this series in an #instagram giveaway from the Author. So I pulled up the first book in the Collision series on my Kindle. This was also my first book of Kristen's that I have ever read even though I had already been following her on IG; because TONS OF BOOKSTAGRAMMERS LOVE HER! And I can see why, even after just one book. This one didn't have a ton of spice, but the story held its own. And I like a relatable and lovable story more than I do some spice or erotica. I feel like even though I started reading another book after Collision, I feel like I can easily flow right back into the second book in the series.

Romance is not my favorite genre, but I will slide into one when I am in the mood. I did love this book because it had a backstory of past trauma in the main female character and I can relate to this. My one highlight from the book:

How you feel is how you feel, and I totally get it. But you need to understand one thing: the people still here - the people that care about you - they feel lucky that you're alive. Thats why they expect you to feel it, too.

This book truly reminds us that family isnt always blood. And reminds us to live every day to the fullest. I am looking forward to listening to the second in the series : Avoidance.

Collision Series (2020)
