Lynell is standing in line to register the man who abused her as a child when she overhears someone registering her. It’s a stranger. She doesn’t know who it is, why they want to unalive her. Shes got 14 days to figure it out. 14 days to survive.

I had this book on my kindle and for some reason it kept slipping further down my TBR list until I saw where it was being made into a movie and SYDNEY SWEENEY was not only producing it but she would be the MC. I pushed this book up my list, and once I flew through the story was wondering why I waited so long.

This book reads like The Purge, but not as creepy. (I could not finish that movie). Madison did an excellent job with character development, and this is one of my MUSTS when it comes to giving that last and final 5th star on a review. I also loved how not just the important, but the smaller moments were very well written. So beautifully written that you forget that you are reading. You are immersed in the story. You see the characters' faces. You feel the emotions. Your eyes blaze over the words and you are reading the fastest you have ever read because you just cannot wait to see what is next.

Something that you do not see every day: a dystopian novel that includes tropes like

*second chance romance

*secret heir

and YES! And it all works so wonderfully. It is going to be a great movie!
