My two cents: I have to say, I have a stomach for gore, depravity, and pretty much anything given my background as a healthcare provider. It is like my brain was trained to see the shock value, but (in medicine we have to keep going, so..)I don’t have trouble sleeping at night..IYKYK..THIS BOOK CHANGED THAT. (Might have been that I read this outside the safety of my own home, but I digress). If you are queasy or a “can’t watch a scary movie alone” kind of person – I would steer clear of this one. (I honestly had a 30 min session in my own head thinking about what Mrs. Torre types into her search engines online to come up with this stuff! Lol) But if you are ready to get your brain wires sizzling and possibly misfiring, then dive in! You will NOT be disappointed. Your psychological tuning fork, as A. R. Torre calls it, will be put to the test along with the characters trying to make sense of what they believe to be real and true. Just when you think you have it figured out, your gut will be wrenching from the slap in the face reality gives you and the characters at the end! OH! And if you dig the show Criminal Minds, then you CANNOT pass this one up! TOTAL BOOK GAME CHANGER! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!.
